Harvest series
As school starts back up, and families are running willy-nilly here there and everywhere to prepare, Journey is beginning a teaching series based on the Harvest.
Across the Delta, farmers have been working diligently – long hours and late nights for an eventual and expected crop. Whether cotton, soybeans, corn or even asparagus, Arkansas farmers know that certain actions produce expected results – God willing.
They prepare the soil, use the latest farming equipment and technology, advanced pesticides and fertilizers, and pour every last ounce of energy and effort into ensuring a crop. It is still not enough. The produce is dependent on a Provider. Rain in season, and proper weather are needed for the crops.

The same is true in our lives. We can do all we can do, but God must bring the growth. Paul says in 1 Corinthians 3.6-8:
I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. The man who plants and the man who waters have one purpose, and each will be rewarded according to his own labor.
It is a wonderful time of year, and it’s time to work in the spiritual harvest fields of our lives. Both for our personal spiritual growth and to bless the lives of others who have yet to experience the transforming love and relief of surrendering their lives to Jesus Christ.
If you’re considering a church to plug into this fall, Journey would love to have you! Our services and small groups are all organized to help lead people into a deep love relationship with Jesus Christ.
Join us in the work of the harvest!
