Be in Prayer for Poland

Apr 10th, 2010 by Lou | 0

Early Saturday morning, a plane carrying very important members of Poland leadership crashed.   The important diplomats were in Russia to mark the 70th anniversary of the massacre of Polish officers.  The crash happened as it was attempting to land admidst heavy fog and hit the tree line which broke the plane in half.   All 97 passengers on board were killed.  Passengers included Poland President, first lady, former Poland President, general of the army, general of the air force, fleet admiral, and seven other generals.  Also eight passengers were priests.  Almost everyone on board were important diplomats.

Journey Church feels tremendous sympathy for Poland.  We have gained so many friends from three mission trips to Krakow, Poland.   From those trips, we have deep respect for the missionaries that are over there sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ.  Poland is 90% Catholic, but it is estimated that only 5% of the population are devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

Poland now than ever is in need to know how much the presence of a Savior needed.  Our brothers and sisters in Christ that so many of us have come to know  are in desperate need of our prayer.  They now have an awesome opportunity to testify to love of our God.

Please be in prayer for the country of Poland, our missionaries and the people they may come into contact with.

Some of our friends on Poland.
